Tomorrow evening, with snow falling and the temperature hovering at 0 degrees, the Pack will host the NY Giants for the NFC Championship. Man, wake the echoes! This is a serious 'old school' NFL Title Game. If I close my eyes I can almost see Fuzzy Thurston and Jerry Kramer, Paul Hornung and Jim Taylor, Bart Starr and Ray Nitschke run out on to that field to face YA Tittle and Frank Gifford.
The Pack prevailed then and the Pack will prevail again: Green Bay 2007 Packers 34, NY 2007 Giants 17. Eli Manning will win an NFC Title - just not today.
The Patriots will throttle the Chargers 42-10.
Pack-Pats Super Bowl.
And in case anyone thinks the Pack have no chance at all in that game, consider this: since December 10, 2006 the Packers have an 18-3 record (inlcuding this year's playoff win against Seattle). The Patriots are 20-2 (with extra playoff game wins and a loss from last year; the Packers missed the playoffs in a tie breaker with the Giants). Brady vs. Favre will be a terrific match-up of first ballot HOF QBs, one that will provide fodder for the inevitable 'greatest ever' discussions that will take place. The Pats will be favored - and they deserve to be; what a terrific season they have had. But the Packers will be in there fighting, and may just do to the Pats what the Pats did to the heavily favored Rams not so many years ago.
But first, beat the Giants.

Ooops.
I guess we're in for an amazing boring Giants-Pats Superbowl....the only story line will be, "Can the Giants ruin the Pat's dream season?"
Wow........we both missed that one . I told my oldest son that the score would be 24-17 Packers.
I so wanted Favre to win the Super Bowl in light of his best season yet.......maybe next year.
Go Giants.
Go Big Blue, The Jersey side of me is smiling.
